Abstract: Morphometric characters of a fish,
Labeo rohita (Hamilton-Buchanan) have been studied from pond, near Kalayat, Kaithal, Haryana India. Monthly sample collection of
Labeo rohita was conducted for the study of morphometric characters. Eighteen characters have been studied in percentage of total fish length from which thirteen characters were genetically controlled, three characters were intermediate and two characters was environmentally controlled. In percentage of head length five characters were genetically controlled and one was intermediate. A positive correlation has been observed between total length and external body parts.
