A study of zooplankton abundance and hydrology of chettuva mangrove

Abstract: The present study deals with zooplankton abundance and hydrology of Chettuva mangrove, Kerala. Monthly sampling was done in two stations (Station I- non mangrove area, Station II- mangrove area) for a period of seven months from January to July 2013. The zooplankton abundance was influenced by physic chemical factors of water. Their density showed considerable seasonal fluctuation with peak abundance during monsson and pre monsoon.
