Catla catla, Labeo rohita and
Cirrihinus mrigala collected from Baghel Taal, Payagpur, Bahraich, U.P. has been analyzed. Author recorded zooplankton, phytoplankton, aquatic insects, plant matter and decay matter from the guts of these 3 carps. It was also seen that there were considerable variations in the percentage of different food items in the gut of above fishes.
