Abstract: The present study deals with the bioaccumulation of Phenthoate and its effect on survival pattern and behavioral changes in freshwater fish Labeo rohita. The Pilot experiments were conducted to derive the LC50 concentrations. The LC50 values of Phenthoate were determined to be 3.0, 2.6, 2.3 and 2.1 mg/L for 24, 48, 72 and 96 h respectively. The percentage of mortality was calculated by following the method of Finney’s probit analysis. During the course of experiment, the behavioral alterations were also observed. Hence, the present study revealed that, the LC50 value gradually decreased with the increase of exposure period and the mortality rate increased with increase in concentration of pesticide.
