Abstract: Length-frequency distributions and length-weight relationship of Cirrhinus reba were collected from Lower Anicut, Tamil Nadu. Samples were obtained during April 2010 - March 2011. Month-wise LWR and slope (b) values were assessed the negative allometric (A-) growth (b<3). Followed by sex-wise LWR ‘b’ values for males, females and pooled sexes were found to be A- growth. Seasonal LWR and values of ‘b’ could be expressed in A- growth and the ‘r’ values was noticed significantly were not greater than 1 (r<1). Correlation co-efficient were noticed highly significant for month, sex and seasonal-wise with a good correlation between length and weight. Fulton’s Condition factor (K) was also determined for month, sex and seasons. ‘K’ values showed some fluctuations for sex and seasons. Finally, ANCOVA was also applied separately for all the sexes were insignificant nature. So far, the length and weight differs of this species depending on their inherited body shape, sex, condition of individuals and reflected by the food.
