Abstract: In the present study, length frequency and length weight relationship analysis of Lepturacanthus savala of Ratnagiri coast were done. The fishes ranged in total length from 10 to 70 cm. From the cumulative frequency calculations, it was observed that L. savala attained first maturity at the size of 38 cm. L∞ calculated for L. savala was 68.25 cm, K was 0.55. The length of 43 cm was attained at the end of first year, 58 cm at second year and 65 cm at the end of third year. The analysis of covariance did not show significant difference in length-weight relationship between sexes. The relationship was described as Log W = -3.6049+3.2285 Log L.
